First Images Release: Celebration of Events

Lecture discussing the the James Webb Space Telescope

July 8 - 9, 2022 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m

This talk will explore the design of the instrument and familiarize the audience with the mission goals of the telescope. Hands on activities related to JWST will be hosted in the Jupiter and Mars Room. Fun for all ages! Bring the whole family along. This talk was originally given in November, 2021.

NASA Live Panel

July 12, 2022 at 6 p.m.

NASA will stream a live panel of experts to discuss the newly released images. Come and learn about the implication of Webb and watch the stream in the Planetarium Dome. The panel is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EDT, doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Live Lecture of Telescope Images

July 15 - 16, 2022 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Ticket sales will open to the public on July 5, 2022. With the images released, this special lecture will review the images and discuss the science behind them and their implications.
