SLOAN MUSEUM OF DISCOVERY

This 107,000 square feet hands-on science and history museum re-opened in 2022 after an extensive expansion and renovation. The new Sloan Museum of Discovery features four primary interactive galleries and a 6000 square feet special traveling exhibit gallery. Our next traveling exhibit will be 2TheXtreme, opening February 1, 2025. Sloan Museum of Discovery is located on the campus of the Flint Cultural Center within walking distance of several entertainment, arts, and educational centers.

GENERAL ADMISSION

Importance Notice to Online Ticket Purchasers Before You Purchase Your Tickets:

Genesee County residents receive discounted admission due to the Genesee County millage passed by voters in 2018. ONLY GENESEE COUNTY RESIDENTS can use the discounted admission. Every adult 18+ with a Genesee County ticket will be required to provide a photo ID with proof of residency upon admission. If guests cannot show proof of residency, they will be asked to pay the difference upon admission. Thank you for your cooperation; your Genesee County tax dollars are at work!

FOOD & BEVERAGE POLICY: If you get hungry or thirsty during your visit, The Coffee Beanery Cafe' is located in the main lobby before you get into the museum. The menu has kid-friendly breakfast and lunch items, snacks, and hot & cold beverages. Please help us keep our galleries and artifacts pest-free by consuming food and beverages inside the cafeteria, or outside on the patio if weather permits. Please refrain from bringing meals from outside businesses to the museum. Sack lunches from home are permitted. We provide free lockers for storage of any food items or valuables you'd like to keep safe while enjoying the museum. Thank you. 

Shoes and shirts need to stay on while in the museum for the safety of our guests.
