Join Big Bird, Elmo and their new friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu as they learn about the Sun, the Moon, and the Big Dipper, then blast off in an imaginary rocket to the Moon! Skies Over Michigan

Longway Planetarium’s astronomy experts take you on a tour of the night sky over Michigan in this live planetarium lecture. Learn about the rotation of the Earth, how to find the North Star, and which constellations and planets are visible in your backyard tonight. Stargazers can come back to this show again and again to find out about recent astronomical events and for seasonal updates on what’s visible in the night sky over Michigan.

Laser K-Pop Demon Hunters

In My Backyard | Join children’s entertainer Fred Penner from TV’s Nickelodeon as he explores things large and small, from the colors of the rainbow, to the reasons for the seasons. Through the use of entertaining songs and immersive environments, children are encouraged to participate while learning about the planets, constellations, meteors, the moon, and more. Geared towards the youngest stargazers and scientists, In My Backyard is sure to instill a sense of wonder and exploration while encouraging children to explore their own backyards.
